We’re making our live debut this Thursday December 12, in Castlemaine – First on radio and then on stage!
In recent weeks, Josh Meadows has been playing our debut single on his WMAFM show, It’s A Jangle Out There. At 6:15pm on Thursday, he’ll interview us and we’ll play a song live in the studio. If you’re near Castlemaine, you can tune into 94.9FM, and you can listen anywhere online at wmafm.rad.io
Later, 9-11pm, we”ll play 2 sets at The Bridge Hotel, which has a great menu and selection of drinks, welcoming bar staff and old pub charm, and is just over an hour from Melbourne. Entry is $10. It’s going to be an exciting night!

We’re staking our claim on Central Victoria’s live music goldfields! We’ll be posting details about the attractions of each venue and locale (country charm, vintage shopping, etc) but here are the basics:
Thursday 12/12/13 The Bridge Hotel CASTLEMAINE 9-11pm

Hello. Annie here. This is the first track off our debut single. It’s an invitation, an encouragement, to approach someone with whom you might turn out to have a lovely connection. I’m quite a shy person with people to whom I haven’t been introduced, but I’ve found on occasion that if I just say hello, they lead the conversation. It’s easier said than done, but reaching out to someone you don’t know from a bar of soap can be very enjoyable and rewarding, even if only for a few minutes.
The vocal melody was sparked by a calypso-ish rhythm from a jam with my and Bern’s previous band. The lyrics came to me soon after. Bern had already written his beautiful introduction, which always makes me go a bit dreamy, and he gave it a home in this song. We hope you like it.

Hello! We’ll very soon be playing our debut gigs in Melbourne and regional Victoria, and are on the lookout for venues that will complement us. We’re thinking something cosy, a bit swish, with good service, maybe with an early-1960s vibe. Have a listen on the Listen & Download page, and a read on the Story page, and if you know of any venues that you think might suit us, we’d love for you to let us know.
