Annie here. We’re playing our very first music festival on Friday Feb 28! We’re opening Kyneton Music Festival, 7-8pm, in a nice little bar called The Chairmakers Wife (part of Rundell & Rundell Chairmakers). We’ll be playing all our originals and our favourite covers. It would be lovely to see you – Those friendly people who met and welcomed us on our recent tour, our sterling friends from Melbourne, and those of you reading this who we haven’t even met yet! The program, ticketing and camping information are all available via the link above.
Kyneton is only about an hour from Melbourne, by the way, and has much to offer. I stayed there recently and managed to treat myself to an exemplary B&B, cafe and day spa. If you’d like to mix your music festival with a smattering of swishy-swish time, here are my recommendations:
Angoby’s of Kyneton – I stayed in the Gabriel room, which has a deep bath with a beautiful sketched panel of birds on blossomy branches, candles and white linen, and I breakfasted on bagels and fancy jam. My host made me feel so welcome, and drove me to the train station in the morning. Ahhh.
Ruby Cafe – I have a penchant for willow pattern crockery, so was delighted when my free range eggs on sourdough toast and loose leaf tea with soy milk were served aboard this estimable crockery. The food and service were also A1.
Ellenis Salon-Spa – Do you like being exfoliated, massaged, and wrapped in a botanical cocoon, in elegantly luxurious surrounds, and to have a revitalising facial while you’re at it? I do, and I was, and it was just the ticket.
